Short maternity wedding dresses
Want to keep it short and sweet at the wedding? If you feel that it will seem untraditional you should know that your’e in good company. Lots of people and lots of celebrities have worn short maternity wedding dresses. If you’re not sure, I guess there are three things to consider:
- Is it a super conventional wedding otherwise (then you might want to go with the conventional long dress)?
- Will it be outdoors and much more practical with a short dress?
- What do you and your partner want (this is what matters the most of course)?
I’ve gathered some of the ones I really like but follow the links to view a lot more short maternity wedding dresses. Are you looking for something that fits a gorgeous curvy figure head over to “Plus size maternity wedding dresses“.
Classic lace elegance from Tiffany Rose
Tiffany Rose has some of the most elegant and high quality short maternity wedding dresses in my opinion. I can almost say that all of their dresses are beautiful. The dress in the picture has it all if you’re looking for that classic grace and luxury. Lovely clean lines and premium lace with sheer three-quarter sleeves will give you a slender delicate silhouette. It has a little bit of stretch to ensure a great pregnancy fit.
If you want to make your look a little more special, this clean dress is perfect for personalized and unique accessorizing.
Cheap and short from Pinkblush
If you’re looking for a cheap knee length maternity wedding dress perhaps this is something for you? It can be yours for $65-75. It will obviously not be the highest quality but for that sum I think it’s a bargain. The dress is double lined so no need to worry about sheerness. If you want to make it look a bit more exclusive, pair it with your best jewelry and shoes. Maybe also a veil or a birdcage veil?
The boat neckline tends to give shoulders a wider look but also make a nice big butt look perfectly proportional. Make sure the dress design fits your body right.
Goregeous lace v-neck from Seraphine
Descriptive words like vintage inspired, glamour, feminine French lace, and easy to wear really get my juices flowing. There are so many great things about this dress. The A-line cut gives it a flexible fit which means you can use it before, during and after pregnancy. The detachable sash can be tied in a bow at the back to give your a flattering silhouette. And much more.
The V-neckline is great if you got a larger bust (which a lot of us do when we’re pregnant). It makes your neck look long and slender giving you good proportions. If you got a smaller bust you should aim for a high cut V-neck.
Unique short maternity wedding dress from Etsy
If you haven’t checked out Etsy before, you definitely should. It’s a global market place for unique goods. Here you can find beautiful handmade wedding dresses for cheap. At least compared to other stores and chains.
This dress in particular isn’t your average wedding gown. I think it’s beautiful. Perfect for a beach wedding maybe? The overlay is off white and the underlining champagne in the picture. You can get the lining in any color you want. The lace and the soft tulle are always like the picture.
Untraditional faux feather dress from ASOS
Are you searching for something less traditional? A dress with a little bit of attitude. I don’t want the church wedding. But I still want a cool memorable dress and would probably go for something like this. Or the one from Etsy. Something that has that fun celebratory feel. Remember, the dress is yours to choose. Make sure it expresses who you are.
Nursing friendly lace dress from Amazon
This dress can be yours for under $40. If you’re on a tight budget I think this is a great choice. Check out the reviews and images from buyers if Amazon makes you nervous. I really think it’s a cute dress. It’s also nursing friendly which makes it a great addition to your wardrobe even after the pregnancy. If you think it’s too basic for a wedding you might want to check out the other colors and get it as a post pregnancy nursing dress for the summer.
Short maternity wedding coat
If you know you’ll need something a little warmer to and from the wedding this tailored coat might be what you’re looking for. The full-length sleeves give you extra cover and warmth in a luxurious woven cream bouclé fabric, flecked with blue, pink and silver flecks to introduce subtle sparkle to any day or evening look. Faux pockets are piped at the seam for attention to detail with concealed front fastening to fit and flatter your bump.
