Maternity wedding guest dresses
Prepare yourself for quite a long post and too many pretty maternity wedding guest dresses to choose from. If you thought it was gonna be hard to find a maternity dress that was beautiful you were very wrong. I’m sure you will have a hard time to choose just one. I recommend buying one you can see yourself wearing at more than one occasion. As you won’t be pregnant forever the dress obviously has a limited life time in your wardrobe as it is. You could also go for a dress that has a “flexible fit”. By that I mean something that can be worn both during and after a pregnancy. Like a flowy dress with an empire waist.
I’ve categorized my favorite maternity wedding guest dresses by season, but that’s only to inspire. Go with the one you fall in love with.
Maternity wedding guest dresses for spring weddings
Fun ruffles with spring feelings
Get ready for that spring fever and order a fun off shoulder maternity dress. The layered ruffles, snug but comfy fit, and bell sleeves will give you a cute look. Almost like a little spring flower.
Glamorous tulle and sequin
Who said maternity clothes has to be bland and boring? Not ASOS. Yet again I have to give credit to ASOS for offering us unique maternity design for a nice price. This is a Maya maternity bridesmaid dress, but I think it works perfectly as a wedding guest dress as well. Or any other formal occasion for that matter. It’s comfortable, has that extra glam and you can actually wear it as a regular dress when you’re not pregnant anymore. The beautiful sage green will look amazing for a spiring spring wedding.
The queen of maternity wedding guest dresses
This might be the queen of all maternity wedding guest dresses. I think they’ve thought of everything. The doubled layered maternity dress doubles as a nursing dress. Just untie the wrap whenever you want to breastfeed. The wrap itself will give you cover and allows for a little privacy. The dress has participated in Wedding Ideas Magazine and won awards. And nothing suits a spring wedding more than a floral lace in a soft pink shade.
A super romantic dress from Seraphine
A long flowy romantic dress will certainly make you look stunning at the wedding. Just make sure the bride is wearing white. Otherwise you might be mistaken for the her. I think a long evening gown is a little risky to wear as a wedding guest but if you want one this is a gorgeous choice. Some of the stunning details are a jeweled belt, a concealed side zip, 100 % silk skirt and a keyhole back.
Be unique in a Queen Bee maternity dress
Who says maternity wedding guest dresses have to be formal and boring? Not me. Sometimes it’s nice to stand out. And in this dress, with a bump, you’ll stand out very nicely. The fresh rose will look delicious for a spring wedding and the sequin-embellished fabric will be a hit at the party. For sure.
Maternity wedding guest dresses perfect for winter weddings
Structured tie dress from ASOS
Let’s start the winter of with this fitted tie number. A beautiful cut with a slim fit and a unique design. Or maybe not unique but at least pretty special. FFall in love with the fallen shoulder, wrap front, and kick split. Did I mention it will fit all through your pregnancy? And as usual with ASOS, it has a nice price tag.
Maternity maxi dress from Pinkblush
If you’re going to a wedding in the winter and you know it’s going to be cold it might be a good idea to choose a full length dress. Then you can look fabulous and still wear some warming underwear. You don’t even have to shave your legs (which can be a hustle with a big baby bump). This is a bestseller from Pinkblush. It’s feminine and comfortable. And I think you can wear it to a lot of different occasions. There are 22 colors to pick from if you’re not into the blue.
Amazing sky blue nursing dress from Seraphine
This dress has that icy blue color that is perfect for a winter wedding. It also transitions nicely in to spring with different accessories. The dress does cost a pretty penny. But considering how beautiful it is AND that it’s both a maternity and nursing dress, the investment kind of evens out. This is a dress that you can wear as pregnant, a nursing mom and on a date with your love in 3 years form now.
Cool and affordable from ASOS
If you’re looking for a maternity wedding guest dress for a winter wedding that is a little cheaper than previous suggestions, ASOS has great selection. This dress has a cool one-shoulder style and a folder-over trim giving you a unique look. The soft-touch jersey is stretchy, and the kick-split makes it even easier to move around freely.
A natural look from Tiffany Rose
If you’re going for a natural soft look this dress with its earthy tones will do the trick. And don’t be worried about looking dull. The lace bodice has glittering sequins and the light skirt will elegantly flow over your curves. Style it with a satin charcoal sash or another color of your choosing.
It’s also offered in full length if that’s what you prefer.
Dreamy dresses for summer weddings
A best seller from Tiffany Rose
This is a real best seller. And you can all see why. It’s absolutely gorgeous. It comes in three colors, orchid blush, arabian blue and ivory. Depending on color I think it could work as maternity wedding guest dress, bridesmaid dress or even wedding dress. Here it is paired with a sash in vintage rose but there are other options to choose from. It has a slight shimmer and a little stretch which makes it perfect for any party and dance floor.
Country style dress from Pinkblush
Pinkblush has a lot of potential maternity wedding guest dresses to choose from. They do not have the same quality as my top choices, but the prices are also not comparable. I’m back to a lace dress again. But this one is off shoulder and with short sleeves. I love the styling in the pictures giving it a country feel. You can of course style it with high heels and some jewelry to bring a more lux feeling to it. It is double lined, so you don’t have to worry about sheerness.
A blooming dress from Tiffany Rose
This might be the ultimate summer wedding guest dress. The cherry blossom print and strap less cut just oozes summer, love, and party. Silicone elastics and a hidden zip in the back ensures a great fit that stays in place. And you should pair it with a sash of your own choice. I think it’s a great maternity wedding guest dress but it is also perfect for any summer party in your calendar.
Maternity flutter sleeve maxi dress
I love flutter sleeves. They makes us look like butterflies in the summer. And you can never go wrong with a maxi dress. This one in particular is worth a closer look. A stunning marble print, ladder stitch inserts and just as beautiful in the back (maybe even more). Flowy maxi dresses like this are superior maternity dresses in my opinion. They give you a lovely silhouette no matter the size of the bump (and the extra pounds you might collect along the way). It will also fit you after the bump turns in to a baby.
A warm brown for a warm day
A polka dot midi tea dress in the most lovely sunny brown and white polka dots. Perfect if you’re looking for a beautiful and versatile maternity dress. The tea dress is formal enough for a wedding but also casual enough to wear to any party or just a day in town.
Looking for a dress for a fall wedding?
My favorite from A Pea in the Pod
This is probably my favorite maternity wedding guest dress. The cut has that certain Italian style and luxury feel to it. With the beautiful rose shoulder detail, you will certainly stand out in the crowd. It has gotten great reviews from buyers. Someone wrote “amazing dress I love it so much. going to buy another”. And someone else wrote “Dress makes me look so elegant and classy!”
Vivid colors from ASOS
I have a tendency to buy colors that reflect the nature and the seasons. In the fall it’s easy to turn to the colors of the leaves. Yellow, red, rust, brown, murky green. But why not embrace other deep and rich colors? I love this fine fuchsia. A perfect dress to feel really alive in. What makes it even better is the cute design with a regular and super comfortable fit that you can wear until the end (of your pregnancy).
Long and elegant
If you feel that the first two choices were a bit much for you this chiffon evening gown with a crochet overlay might be more your cup of tea. It’s classy, elegant and will give you a beautiful silhouette no matter how pregnant you are. Wear it with a shawl or short jacket if it is autumnal weather. It has a sexy open back with a button closure and is double lined with a hidden zipper. I think the burgundy is perfect for fall but there are a couple of other colors to choose from if that doesn’t flatter your skin tone.
Comfortable stretch lace from Tiffany Rose
No proper wedding dress list without at least one lace option. It comes in a lot of colors, but I think this deep purple is perfect for a fall wedding. As usual you can choose which ever color you want on the sash. It’s made of a comfortable stretch lace and it has a great fit. Check out the reviews if you want to be convinced.
Feminine flounce from Pinkblush
The fall list ends with another strong contender. A another burgundy fitted dress with a half sleeve with layered flounce. The rounded neck goes beautifully with a ponytail and some nice earrings. This is one more dress that has gotten great reviews. There are also some pictures from buyers that you might want to check out.
Now all you have to do is choose. Not that easy right!
Are you also getting married?
If you’re also looking for a maternity wedding dress, I’ve compiled a very inspirational list for that as well (if I may say so myself).
A pea in the pod has to be my favourite pick from your list here. Tgere rrally are some top notch dresses there and I have to say, I was one of those few that thought that maternity dresses are always very boring and big. Those models look very sexy and I’m sure my sister will look nothing less in those beauties so I’m going to buy a few for her. Thank you for sharing this. She’s really going to rock that wedding with thee.
I’m glad you like them. I hope you find something for your sister.
Oh, this is very fabulous here. I was already thinking of some very good ideas to give my friend who told me she was going for a wedding pretty soon. I think that the dresses from ASOS collection will be a very good pick for her. Your post is relevant and very helpful. Thank you for sharing. Cheers!
Thanks for sharing such an amazing article, I believe this will meet the needs of so many women, my wife can be so disturbing whenever she’s pregnant and we need to attend a wedding together, what causes this is her dress. It can be really difficult to get a suitable one, but with lists like this that you’ve provided here, it’ll be very easy to choose one that you really like. I’ll definitely share this with my wife I case she’ll need it.
I hope it will make both your lives easier =)
Wow! These are really aesome and I can only spare the positive here because this post is really informative and helpful here. In all honesty, I feel that this is the best anyone could look out for when it comes to getting the perfect maternity dresses that can suit any need whatsoever. Really great to see here. I like the one from Asos. It is very good. Thanks
I’m glad you liked it. The one from ASOS sure is a big favorite.
I wonder if this is a sign, coming across a post about maternity wedding dresses … Right now I am looking forward to my doctor’s appointment to find out if I am actually pregnant … it has been nervewrecking, But enough about me, unless this post will be useful to me soon enough ;-)
I love the first ASOS dress! It looks so elegant! I would love to have it, it looks great for any occasion, not just a wedding :-) The chiffon evening gown with the crochet overlay is also very pretty, I was imagining myself wearing it ;-) The Tiffany Rose dress is next on my list, so lovely. I also love the long blue maternity dress, that one is just gorgeous! The Seraphine dress is also wonderful. I love them all, but I really like the ones I mentioned here. It’s so good to know that there are these amazing dresses for pregnant women :-)
Congratulations!!! I wish you and your bump all the best. Make sure to dress it sharpe . =)
I’m glad you like what you see.
My favorite style is the empire waist dress because it would allow for a bitty baby bump to go unnoticed and it would allow a ton of room for a big baby bump too. As you said, it gives off a beautiful silhouette.
I had a cousin who was a brides maid while she was 6 months pregnant and it took us a while to find a dress that suited her pregnant belly beautifully. We landed on the empire waist style and it was perfect!
Looking at these maternity wedding guest dress options, I do have one favorite that stands out and that is the “super romantic dress from Seraphine” Any mama to be would look stunning in this choice!
The empire waist is definitely a sure thing. I also like it because most of the time you can wear it even after pregnancy.
Your article is very sweet and enjoyable. Also helpful to me and to many. I will forward this article to my cousin who is getting married in the spring and is nearing the beginning of summer. ASSOS dresses look more romantic and with beautiful colors that suit most her style. She will find it very useful to take a look and perhaps end up with someone up until then
Thanks for the read. I hope she finds something lovely.
This article is a life saver, as a man, I suffer the most annoyance now that my wife is pregnant. She tends not to be satisfied with whatever she wears now and getting clothes for occasions is hard, sometimes I pick up to 5 to 6 clothes before she finds one she claims to manage. I’ll bookmark this page so that I can recommend it to her when next we need to get a maternity wedding dress.
