I’m a mam. I work in advertising. I absolutely love fashion and style. In my own way.

To me, clothes are ways to express thoughts and feelings. What am I today? Bold? Creative? Tired?

It’s important that it isn’t pretentious. We should all have our own style. Unique or not. It’s our own and that’s cool. There’s a thrill in assembling an outfit. Every time. Except for maybe when the closet is mysteriously empty and I suddenly have nothing to wear.

My site Mamalamode is my way of sharing what I know, like and have learned about maternity clothing. I’m not saying I know better than the rest of you, it’s about sharing information, tips and trix. We are all different, both body and mind. What works, fits or rocks my socks might not be your cup of tea. But maybe you’ll get inspired by it.

What triggered the idea for the website was my own pregnancy and the wardrobe problems I experienced. I realized a couple of things and now I want to share them with you. My biggest motivation being the lack of style sooo many maternity clothes and brands want to sell to you.

It’s never fun to feel uncomfortable, mentally or physically. If something doesn’t fit, it’s not just annoying but it tends to make us lose confidence. Let’s aim for the opposite together instead.  Let’s look fabulously pregnant.

Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.

All fashion brands are about looking good. Being Human is also about doing good. And you can do good by the simple act of slipping into a t-shirt or a pair of jeans.
